Wave-Around Hair Wrap

I chose this project because when I make that kind of hair wrap jewellery, I like the thickness, and it looks really pretty. I like adding gems and doing jewellery, because it's really nice and it's calming.

Supplies

  1. 4 different colours of string
  2. Tape
  3. A little gem-bead
  4. Scissors

Initial Things

Firstly, you want to get four colours of string, and cut two of each colour. You want it to be 10 inches long.

You’re going to get your string, tape it down, or put it to something secure that will hold it down. Then knot it at the top.

Making the Hair Wrap

Firstly, you want to choose one colour you want to use. So you make a number four shape. Then get the string, and wrap it around and tie a knot. Then you will start making your hair wrap.

Carry on doing that until your colour finishes. Then, you can repeat the same thing, just with a different colour after you’ve finished that one colour. Then it should start making a little twist or swirl, like a swirly staircase.

Adding a Gem If You Want To

When I got to the end of one colour, I got the other colour and put the gem on. And then I looped the string up and did another knot.

After you’ve done all four colours, you will have some leftovers of the same colours of string, since you had two strings of each colour. So you’ll want to carry on doing the same thing with the same colours of string. Then tie a knot at the end so it doesn’t unravel. Then you’ll have your lovely hair wrap.

Finish

When you get to the end, you’re probably seeing that it’s getting thinner, because you only have one string that you wrap around. So do it less, and tie a knot at the bottom. Then, you need a pin or a hairclip. Put it in the loop and put it in your hair, and you have a beautiful hair wrap.
