Yarn Tail Tutorial!!!

I wanted to have my own tails and I am broke, I wanted everybody to have a chance for their closet to be full of goofy tails so I'm getting more broke for you guys so don't be a bully abt this ples :'3 if any of the text is confusing just look at the pictures. come join me in the furry community y'all ≽ ^⎚ ˕ ⎚^ ≼

materials needed:

1. LOTS OF YARN
2. sciscors
3. money (for yarn)
4. sanity (you MIGHT pass with 1000, no guarantee, i would say more than 1500. if you don't have sanity to lose like me then even better. after dis go drink coffee and chocolate so you don't gain a big mouth with sharp teeth and the urge to destroy peoples)
5. a smol book or journal
6. a ruler
7. comb (optional)
8. pet brush (optional)
9. tape
10. safety pin

this is the yarn brand I suggest

take however long you want your tail to be (with any thin string) then double it and cut it off.

get a note book that is roughly 24 cm (5 inches) long (make sure its taller than it is wide) and then tuck the end of the string of your choice inside the book then wrap the string around the book. when you fill about half the book with the compressed yarn then cut the string at the seam of the book.

then cut the yarn at the seam down the middle. then fold the yarn in half and cut it in the middle.

if you have thin yarn like me then put ten strands together then tie only ONE knot. rinse and repeat till you don't have enough string left to make another full one. keep da extras and for later layers.

put the bundle in-between the core string, then take one strand from either side of the bundle and tie a DOUBLE knot with them. make Sure that it's in the middle, trust, you need it there.

ALTERNATE don't do if you haven't gotten to step 7!!!

take BOTH of the core strings and a bundle and take one strand from either side of the bundle and tie a DOUBLE knot with them that's around BOTH core strings. you can put one bundle on or you can put as many that can fit like me. but if you do leave space!!!! (so they don't get tangled up while you're trying to brush it)

take the comb and GENTLY brush out the yarn fibers out. then take the pet brush and do the same thing until it is fluffiness you want it to be. DON'T BRUSH OUT TOO MUCH!!! IT WILL LOOK BAD!!!!!!!! trust ;3 or if you want it to be super fluffy then skip the comb and go HAM with the pet brush. (but don't brush it too much!!) if you do this it will also take a LOT less time.

repeat steps 4-7 till you think you're done this time do "ALTERNATE" for step 6 and do step 2 and 3 if you run out of strands. after doing steps 4-6 alternate vision scoot it down to your last bundle, as your building up rotate them.
